Algebra & Word Problems
ACT Math questions are typically presented as standalone problems (less context/data-heavy than SAT), moving quickly across a wide range of topics from basic algebra through trigonometry.
Overview
Because ACT Math questions increase in difficulty roughly in order and cover many distinct topics, a strong strategy is to work quickly through familiar early problems to bank time for the harder problems (often involving trigonometry, matrices, or logarithms) later in the section.
