Position, Velocity & Acceleration Graphs

Motion graphs let you read off velocity as the slope of a position graph, and acceleration as the slope of a velocity graph.

Overview

The slope of a position-vs-time graph gives velocity; the slope of a velocity-vs-time graph gives acceleration. The area under a velocity-vs-time graph gives displacement. Reading these relationships off a graph is one of the most heavily tested Physics 1 skills.
